About this piece
This piece is 100% pashmina with no silk and no viscose. That matters: most "pashmina" on sale to visitors is viscose, which is cold, shiny and pills into felt within a season. Real pashmina has a matte surface, an uneven handspun-looking weave line, and no shine at all.
The natural colour is a warm off-white with faint grey in it. Fringe is hand-twisted.
How it was made

I have been sold fake pashmina twice before, so I ordered this half expecting the same. It is the real thing — matte, no shine, and it has already gone softer after one wash.
