About this piece
A mudha holds together by tension and weave alone: there is not a single screw, nail or dab of glue in it. The frame is bent green and allowed to set, then the cane is worked around it wet so it tightens as it dries.
They are the standard seat of a Terai courtyard and they last decades outdoors under a veranda.

Care & keeping
Indoor or covered outdoor use. Wipe with a barely damp cloth. If the cane dries out in a heated room, mist it occasionally.
