About this piece
Dhaka is woven with a separate small shuttle for each colour block, which is why the pattern is discontinuous and why the reverse looks nothing like the face. It is slow work — a few centimetres an hour.
The topi is stiffened with a light interlining and hand-stitched. The characteristic asymmetric profile is deliberate: it is meant to sit higher on one side.

Care & keeping
Hand wash cold with a mild wool detergent, or dry clean. Do not wring — press the water out flat and dry away from direct sun. Store folded with cedar rather than mothballs.

Free tracked shipping worldwide, with no minimum. We pack and dispatch from Kathmandu within 1–2 business days. Nepal deliveries usually arrive in 1–2 days; international orders in 5–12 business days depending on your country's customs.
Import duties and taxes in your own country are not included and are payable by you.
